Lecture Recording
Media & Technology Services can provide video and audio recording for individual class meetings or for all class meetings in a semester. We will provide all necessary equipment and, if available, a technician to record the class. Due to heavy demand, we can not accommodate all requests - precedence will be given to courses with higher enrollment.
After your lecture has been recorded, it will be sent to a centralized media infrastructure maintained by HUIT. The HUIT Infrastructure | Digital Video Services group maintains and manages that infrastructure and the publishing components for the University's course platform. For FAS classes that require assistance with their iSites and publishing of video they should contact the Academic Technology Group within HUIT as they are the customer face to the course platform for FAS.
NOTE: Recorded lectures are generally available for distribution online within two to three business days.
For details on creating physical media copies and compilations of course recordings, please contact the Media Production Center at ims_mpc@fas.harvard.edu.
Courses that wish to be recorded for the web will be asked to agree to our Service Level Agreement.
You can learn how to manage course recordings on your course iSite here.
