Suggested Windows XP Laptop Display Settings
Selecting our suggested display settings on your PC laptop will reduce the risk of issues when connecting to MTS projectors.
- Setting the correct resolution:
- Right-click with the mouse on your desktop and select "Properties" from the drop down menu.
- Click on the "Settings" tab.
- Move the "Screen resolution" slider to "1024 by 768 pixels".
- Make sure that "Color quality" is set to "Highest (32 bit)".
- Click on the "Apply" button.
- Setting the correct refresh rate:
- From the "Display Properties" screen click on the "Advanced" button
- Click on the "Monitor" tab
- Under "Monitor settings" assure that your "Screen refresh rate" is set to "60 Hertz"
- Click on the "OK" button
- Setting the correct screen saver and power saving settings:
- From the "Display Properties" screen (pic #1) click on the "Screen Saver" tab
- Select "None" from the "Screen saver" drop down menu
- Click on the "Power" button
- Select "Always on" from the "Power schemes" drop down
- Set "Turn off monitor", "Turn off hard discs" and "System standby" are all set to "Never"
- Click on the "OK" button to close the "Power Options" screen
- Click on the "OK" button to close the "Display Settings" screen
