Suggested Mac Laptop Display Settings

Selecting our suggested display settings on your Mac laptop will reduce the risk of issues when connecting to MTS projectors.

  1. Setting the correct resolution
    1. Click on the Apple menu and select "System Preferences".
    2. Click on the "Displays" icon.
    3. Click on the "VGA Display" window.
    4. Make sure that "Color quality" is set to "Highest (32 bit)".
    5. In the "Resolutions:" menu select "1024 x 768, 60 Hz".
  2. Setting the correct screen saver settings:
    1. Return to the "System Preferences" screen.
    2. Click on the "Desktop & Screen Saver" icon.
    3. Click on the "Screen Saver" tab.
    4. Move the "Start screen saver:" slider to "Never".
  3. Setting the correct power saving settings:
    1. Return to the "System Preferences" screen.
    2. Click on the "Energy Saver" icon.
    3. Click on the "Sleep" tab
    4. Move the "Put the computer to sleep..." slider to "Never".
    5. Move the "Put the display(s) to sleep..." slider to "Never".
